Meet Claire..

As the founder of Bloom I firstly want to say a HUGE warm welcome to our website. I hope you’ve navigated your way through our packages and services. I am delighted you have found us!

As a mum of three (soon to be four) I found too often through my pregnancies that other women, friends and even family found it their quest to tell me their horrific birth stories. It almost became a competition who had the most awful story to tell.

During my first pregnancy I was ADAMANT that this was not going to be me, I was not going to leave my birth and the safe arrival of my son by chance and wanted to feel in control, my voice heard and most of all safe through this experience.

I did my research and found the wonderful gift of meditation and breath work. This worked a treat and resulted in me having a wonderful birth experience - however I was on my back lying flat on a hospital bed the whole way through. Something through experience and education has taught and proven to me can lead to a longer labour (and it did 24hrs)

With my second pregnancy, again I was certain to remain positive and in control. With an unexpected event of my waters leaking at 30 weeks , I knew then I really had to work with my care givers to ensure a safe arrival of my daughter was priority. I managed to work closely with my care providers who listened to my wishes and provided me with the evidence I required and had my daughter 4 weeks later. She too arrived safe and well and still too this day is a very happy go lucky little girl.

My third pregnancy was a dream, being six years after my second I felt like a first time parent again. So much had changed. Again during labour I trusted my instincts and felt very much in control. Even to the point of ensuring the midwifes I was ready for my little boy to be born when then were in disbelief.

I am now expecting baby number four and am completely and utterly looking forward to the event. With now years of knowledge being a Hypnobirthing Practitioner and a womans health and wellbeing coach, I feel well prepared for the arrival of this rather big bump I am currently sporting - this birth story I can’t wait to share with you.

My passion is to support you and your birth partner through this maze which can be pregnancy and birth. Sign post you into where you can find your answers, guide you through tools and techniques but most of all to help you have a positive birth experience just like we all have had here at Bloom.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We hold regular Hypnobirthing Taster events, Free webinars, online, group and 1-2-1 courses alongside relaxation classes for expectant mums.

Alongside this we provide wonderful online programmes for all women to go from feeling lost, unsupported and overwhelmed to finding their inner goddess, healthy warrior.

We look forward in working with you and can’t wait to catch up.

Meet Lyndsey..

You may have seen Lyndsey chatting away at our events to expectant parents. The most recent member of our Bloom family, Lyndsey comes from a wealth of personal and practitioner experience and we are super excited to have her onboard sharing her passion and ensuring our values are met through our courses. Here is her birth story:

I discovered Hypnobirthing even before I thought about having a baby. Addicted to reading the celebrity gossip, I'd heard about it in an article. I was determined that if I had a baby then Hypnobirthing was the way I'd birth my child. A few years later, I'm straightening my hair, piling on the make-up and about to put on a gorgeous flowing maternity dress. We were getting ready to attend my dad's wedding. I'd woken that morning at 3:00 with a few niggles, enough to make me get up but nothing uncomfortable. I was happy to sit on my birthing ball, use my breathing techniques and watch the tv. I woke my husband at 9:00 but I was feeling really calm. I'd called my dad to say I wouldn't make the ceremony (I didn't want to sit too long) but we'd be at the reception. I really thought we'd get there as I was comfy, relaxed and happy. An hour after that call I felt the need to get to the hospital. By 12:00 we were in maternity, shown a room where my waters suddenly broke, I was fully dilated and ready to push. I used visualisations and more breathing techniques. My husband used all his birthing partner knowledge. Our beautiful daughter was born via assisted delivery, weighing 8lb 12oz and I was calling my dad to tell him he was a grandad. I loved my birth and my focus turned to training to become a Hypnobirthing Teacher. I wanted to let everyone know that there is such a thing as a positive birth. That the horror stories we hear from friends about their births didn't need to be our birth stories. I was so happy to qualify as a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher and I've been teaching ever since. We've also had another Hypno Baby. Less than 2 years after our first baby was born and my dad and step-mum turned up to babysit our daughter. I was pregnant again and we were going out for a last date before the madness of having 2 children took over our lives. We left the house at 6:30. We never made it to the restaurant. By 7:00 we were home, surprising our babysitters. What I thought were Braxton Hicks were actually surges and they were 4 minutes apart. After a quick chat with the midwives we decided to go to the hospital. I started to use my breathing techniques and focused all my energy on that. We were swiftly ushered into a room and my waters quickly broke. Just like our last birth. My husband helped me to focus on visualisations and I was being told that the baby was on the way. He didn't wait around. He was born at 8:00 after an hour and a half labour. He was perfect and weighed 9lb 2oz. I can honestly say my births were so joyous and my hope is that everyone gets the empowered birth experience they deserve. That's why I love teaching Hypnobirthing so much. I look forward to working with you on your Hypnobirthing journey.
